Top 6 Events You Need to Visit This Summer in Zagreb
Summer in Zagreb is a special time of year. Lots of festivals and events take place during summer at the most attractive locations in the city. A few years ago there weren't many events during the summer in Zagreb, but over the last few years, the offer of summer events became really interesting. It's almost like there's not enough time to visit them all! But don't worry. If you plan to visit Zagreb, you won't miss them as they are held throughout the whole summer. This is a list of my favourite all-summer-long events that you can visit any time until the end of the summer.
#1 Pop up Summer Garden
The enchanting magical woods of Tuškanac makes this event one of the most attractive ones in Zagreb. Pop Up Summer Garden is an event where you can enjoy watching all sorts of interesting movies at the summer movie theatre Tuskanac, which was named after the woods surrounding it. To take a break from watching movies, you can hang out with your friends in one of the colourful bars and slowly sip your favourite summer drink. While you sip your drink, you can treat your ears to good music by numerous domestic and foreign DJ's, as well as acoustic bands. The awesome vibe of this event is also enhanced by fun and festive decorations and bright summer colours of pretty much everything you see. The escape from the Zagreb's concrete jungle to the magical and green oasis of Pop Up Summer Garden will be possible till September 15, 2017. You can find all the details of the programme and all current events on the official Pop Up Summer Garden Facebook page here. I've been to the Pop Up Summer Garden a couple of times this summer, and I'll go again for sure. It's really fun!

#2 Ljeto na Strossu
Ljeto na Strossu (Eng. Summer on Stross) or popularly called Strossmartre is an event that brings a spirit of elegant Paris to the very heart of Zagreb, the Strossmayer promenade. Its carefully chosen musical programme, art installations, unusual and fun activities, open cinema, painters with their canvases and an exciting programme for children will make your memories unforgettable. I should also mention you'll have an opportunity to treat yourself to a glass of excellent wine and other drinks while enjoying your musical & art evenings. All of this is hard to resist, too. So make time to visit Ljeto na Strossu, and you won't regret it. Believe me!

#3 Zagreb Piknik
Zagreb Piknik (Eng. Zagreb Picnic) is a wonderful outdoor event held at the glorious green oasis of Maksimir park. The concept is to encourage people to spend their free time having a lovely picnic with family or friends, which is well incorporated with tasty Croatian food, good music, outdoor games or reading some interesting book in the shade of one of Maksimir's numerous trees. Zagreb Piknik will be held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the meadow next to the Second Lake. You'll have a chance to enjoy a relaxing picnic, a romantic afternoon or even a family breakfast at Zagreb Piknik till 1st of September. The admission is free, and if you forget to pack food, there's nothing to worry about. There are cutely decorated stands where you can buy Zagreb Picnic baskets filled with delicious Croatian food and refreshing drinks. I highly recommend inviting your dear ones and visiting Zagreb Piknik for a whole day of fun and relaxation!

#4 Art Park
Art Park is almost a hidden park located between Tomiceva, Ilica street and Strossmayer promenade, and a place to be this summer. As its name already suggests, art is definitely a huge part of this park – it's like an open-air museum and an oasis of art and positive energy! Numerous artistic interventions, film evenings, workshops, exhibitions, concerts and sports evenings that you shouldn't miss will be held till 31st of September. I like Art Park very much because it is a place where all generations meet and have fun all day long!
