Sips and Secrets: Hidden Cafe Terraces in Zagreb You'll Love

June in Zagreb hits differently. Since most of us are still city-bound, the demand for cafes with spectacular rooftops and views is high. For this reason, we have decided to share five must-visit spots!

Discover Your City Vibe

When all you need is to relax without being overdressed, we have two options in mind. Although Lemon Market and Cafe Bar A'e are on opposite sides of the city, each has its special charm.

Lemon Market - City Art Oasis

Throwing an event or going to grab drinks with your friends all in one place? Only at Lemon Market. Not only do you have city views of the Vatroslav Lisinski and Franjo Tuđman monuments, but this terrace bar is also intimate and romantic. Their interior is an actual work of art, featuring a diverse array of colors and wooden furniture. Enjoy the sunset vibes with the terrace lights illuminating and savor the feeling of being in a romantic comedy, sipping on a freshly made cocktail. Their coffee selection doesn't disappoint either, so you should visit this place more than once. All in all, this place is Instagrammable - be sure of it!

Cafe Bar A'e - An Old Town Hidden Gem

When the terrace views are all you need after a summer walk around the city or sightseeing, you come to A'e. If being casual and in the moment is something you crave, then you will begin to call this place your own. The best drink choice here is spirits and cocktails, perfect for after-work chats or late-night dancing to a great DJ set. Be sure to check their event calendar to experience all this place has to offer.

When in the Mood for Some Luxury...

Once in a while, we all want to get dolled up and head for a nice drink with someone significant. Making memories with lounge music playing in the background and a light breeze in your hair in a luxury setting is something you won't want to pass up. For this reason, we offer you three top Zagreb hotel rooftops.

art'otel Rooftop Bar - Luxury Meets History

If there were a perfect place to start your romance, then Rooftop Bar of the art'otel would be it. Going for drinks before dinner, after exploring the city, or craving for a "let me give you my jacket" moment from your date, this is the place to go. Its setting on the fourth floor of the hotel makes it a perfect location from which to have an overlook of both old and new Zagreb while still getting enough air from the summer breeze. The music matches the modern and elegant aesthetic of the bar. Their cocktail menu is divine, but be sure to discover their hotel lobby restaurant after you have soaked up the Zagreb views - their food will not disappoint you.

HOH Hotel Terrace Bar

The HOH Terrace Bar, which could surely be the set of a movie, is part of the Boutique Hotel HOH, situated in the historic center of Zagreb. Combines a modern, sophisticated, and luxurious look with a panoramic view overlooking the city. If you are in the mood for a cocktail date night, brunch with the girls, or a coffee place in the shadow during a hot summer day, this is the place for it.

Cherry Pop Bar Zonar Hotel

In the end, all we need is a cherry on the top. Hotel Zonar's Cherry Pop bar offers the best of both worlds - a bar overlooking the entire city and a pool that you can enjoy, even if you're not a hotel guest. Being at a height of 74 meters makes it a fantastic place for events as well as the place you take your boo to. The entrance fee includes a complimentary welcome drink, but you can order food and beverages from their pool menu. Having a dip in the pool overlooking the entire city of Zagreb is something no other location can offer.
