In Zagreb, spring has finally sprung! People are out in the streets, hanging out, and simply enjoying the sunrays. Luckily, if you want to mix things up, concert season is right around the corner! With more music events than ever, whatever your music preference may be, the city offers a little bit of something for everyone.

Zagreb's music scene has always been quite strong. It's never boring, with world-renowned artists, and some fresh, exciting new ones! Amazing venues certainly add to the experience, along with some good company. There is genuinely nothing more you need for a great night out on the town, don't you agree?

The sound of good memories

Nothing really brings the words summer and music together as the Jarun lake! Famous for the many festivals it hosts, Jarun's gorgeous scenery mixed with a groovy vibe is definitely the right way to start the countdown to summer. One of the world-known music events held here is the INmusic festival, annually starting right as we say goodbye to lovely spring and enter the hot & heated days. The biggest open-air rock festival in the country was founded in 2006 and had been growing bigger & better ever since. INmusic is hailed by NME as "the best-kept festival secret," while Huffington Post refers to it as the "Woodstock of the 21st century". With this year's lineup, such as: The Killers, Deftones, Kasabian, and Royal Blood, you're in for a treat! So mark your calendars for 20th to 23th of June and get ready to party! Another fantastic music event here is We Love Sound Open Air, a place to be for all Techno music enthusiasts out there. This year, the festival will mark its 5th edition with names like Indira Paganotto, Pan-pot, Richie Hawtin and many more. All of these artists get to share their magic with you on three stages, all while dancing under the stars. This is the most extensive lineup to date, so make sure you don't miss out! For more EDM beats, the LMF festival on Jarun lake is worth the visit! As the youngest and most promising electronic music festival in Zagreb, LMF brings you a refreshing lineup filled with enthusiastic young artists, including one audience-chosen DJ from their own DJ contest! The festival takes place from the 3rd to the 5th of June, and you can find more about it here. 

It's time to rock it

If you're in the mood for the groove, Vintage Industrial Bar is the one place you should definitely check out! With its unique interior and ambiance, no wonder it holds the title of one of Zagreb's most visited music venues. One of the artists lined up for the season is our very own Zembo Latifa, one of today's most popular local rap artists, who is having a concert at Vintage Industrial Bar on the 26th of May. He discovered the world of music at the early age of 16, but it wasn't until two years ago that he became an overnight sensation! What started as a hobby to pass the time soon became a full-time occupation. Now he has a loyal fan base that can't wait to see (and hear) his next step into the rap industry! If you go to his concert, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Another gem is the well-known Culture Factory or "Tvornica Kulture", a place for all music enthusiasts and is loved among many Zagrebians. It offers you a captivating lineup for the upcoming season. For the second and long-awaited time, Zagreb will be the stage for an Atlanta-based metal band, Mastodon. Mastodon has made his way to the music scene by mixing many genres of metal, from progressive and experimental to sludge, all corroborating with explosive and powerful live performances which won't leave you disappointed! Sounds like a good idea

If you're in the mood for something funky, we've got just the thing. Josipa Lisac is performing at the Tuškanac Summer Stage on the 1st & the 5th of June. She's a unique phenomenon in the Croatian music scene. Her music career is longer than 40 years; vocal superior, specific interpretations, and unconventional styles are just some of the things that make her special. If all of these ideas don't tickle your fancy, we have a couple more up our sleeve. Jelena Radan – Fado & Voyage are giving us a treat at the Vatroslav Lisinski music hall, partnering with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra on the 20th of May. The pop-rock musician of unique sensibility has long grown into a synonym for quality music and outstanding interpretations on the Croatian music scene. Another amazing concert here is the Zucchero World Tour! The famous Italian rock singer is making Zagreb one of his tour stops, so make sure you don't miss it on 28th of June! To wrap up, we bring you an absolute sensation - Scottish rock band Simple Minds is coming to Zagreb for their 40 Years Of Hits World Tour! Take a dive into the 80s and prepare yourself for an incredible blast from the past. I'm sure you will relish every second! The concert will be held at the Šalata sports center on the 30th of June.
