Here, we will highlight all those places that have made a significant mark on the gastronomic scene, regardless of how long they’ve been open or how big they are. They are certainly worth mentioning, whether it’s because of their menu, location, or simply the pleasant vibe they offer.
Amadria Park
Bubble Brunch at Amadria Park Hotel Capital brings a sparkling twist to the classic brunch experience, available daily from 11 AM to 3 PM in the iconic Bela Café. The menu features creative dishes like The Bankers’ Feast and The 1923 Benedict, paired with coffee of choice, a glass of premium Amadria Park Misal sparkling wine, and the signature dessert La Dolce Cotta. This brunch offers a sophisticated and indulgent escape—perfect for elegant meetups, business lunches, or a stylish midday break.
Boogie Lab
“BoogieLab isn’t just a bakery, a brunch bar, a restaurant…It’s a living room. For us and for you. A place that plays the best food and prepares the best music,” as stated on their website. And truly, Boogie is a place where people literally wait in line just to get at least an hour to enjoy brunch or have a coffee. Their menu changes regularly, depending on the season and the ingredients available, and besides brunch, they also serve excellent pizzas and desserts, as well as lunch and dinner options, along with a variety of baked goods. In addition to its location in the city center, Boogie can also be found in Arena Center.

Melt
One of the first places to start serving brunch is certainly Melt, which changed its address and its menu last year. Melt’s new menu features a smaller breakfast and brunch selection, but avocado toast and pancakes are still available. Breakfast is now served until 1 PM, while the daily menu, featuring chicken and veggie sandwiches, quiche, and an acai bowl, is available until 5 PM. What’s also worth adding is the “after work” menu, starting after 5 PM. In other words, after the 9-to-5 comes the 5-to-9 hangout—and we know exactly where to go: one of the city’s must-visit spots.
Eggspress
Eggs in a hundred ways and excellent mimosas? If you’re a fan, hurry over to Eggspress. Various takes on the same theme make for a royal breakfast worth admiring. Of course, they also serve dishes without eggs, such as granola and yogurt with seasonal fruit. It’s no surprise that this spot has been well-known for years, especially among tourists: they’re a six-time winner of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and Travelers’ Choice Award.

It’s the perfect place for comfort food - meals that satisfy every palate and leave you feeling truly full.

Balance Brunch & Bakery
On Bijenička Street, in the hilly part of the city, there’s a smaller spot with a beautiful terrace that’s always packed with visitors. In addition to great brunch options, they offer a variety of drinks as well as baked goods. Although relatively new, it has already been around long enough to become one of the city’s most talked-about places. On top of everything, they serve truly excellent coffee - sometimes, just enjoying it in the sun is enough for a perfect day.

Set on one of the area’s plateaus, it overlooks a nearby meadow and surroundings from a terrace where the atmosphere is always, at the very least, welcoming - and the staff exceptionally friendly. SquareOne Experience
Located at Trg žrtava fašizma 1, this concept truly delivers what its name promises: an experience. They say weekends are reserved for brunch and mimosas, while weekdays are perfect for a business lunch or a later meal with wine. Still, we’d suggest going there for brunch any day - even during a short work break. Whether you order their signature oatmeal or an avocado specialty on bread, you won’t be disappointed. And with portions that are anything but small, you’ll have energy for the whole day.

Whether you’re craving a delicious smoothie bowl, homemade granola with seasonal fruit, or something savory, like prosciutto or a sandwich with eggs and avocado, you won’t be disappointed at this spot in the Knežija neighborhood. Jolie is one of the pioneers of the brunch concept in Zagreb, and even today, there’s always high demand for a seat on their terrace - largely thanks to their original and distinctive cakes. If you haven’t tried them yet, you have to, because you’ve never seen or experienced anything quite like it.

Cynic
They do everything with a touch of cynicism - so you could say they’re “cynically good.” Recently opened, yet always full. Another spot located right in the city center, more precisely on Martićeva Street, which in itself is packed with great places to eat and drink. They’ve already updated their menu several times, offering options not just for brunch but for later hours as well. You can even reserve your spot and enjoy the flavors at your own pace. B27
B27 Brunch & Breakfast is located not far from Kvaternik Market. “All dishes are prepared fresh, with a strong focus on quality ingredients, homemade bread, and recipes shaped over time. Part of our menu is inspired by American brunch culture, especially Chicago-style brunch, where our owner Stanka spent many years and brought back the idea of a truly authentic brunch,” as stated on their website. It’s no surprise, then, that this place feels completely different and authentic from the very first impression. If you’re looking to try Zagreb-style dishes with an American twist, we know just the spot.
